[K-Geography] 118-year-old Hwasun Mine to disappear into history

These aerial photos taken May 31, 2023, show Hwasun Mine in the county, 283 kilometers south of Seoul. The mine, which began operation in 1905, will be permanently shut down on June 30, as a result of the declining demand for coal. (Yonhap)
