SEOUL, Sept. 17 (Yonhap) -- The music video for BTS' "MIC Drop" (Steve Aoki Remix) has surpassed 1.6 billion views on YouTube, the group's agency BigHit Music said Wednesday.

The music video surpassed the milestone at around 6:37 p.m. the previous day.

It is the fourth BTS group music video to surpass 1.6 billion views, following "Dynamite," "Boy With Luv" and "DNA."

The "MIC Drop" remix is a reworked version of the song of the same name from BTS' fifth mini-album, remixed by world-renowned DJ Steve Aoki and transformed into an electro-trap track. Released in November 2017, it debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, the U.S. music magazine's main singles chart.

The music video has received praise for its powerful sound, stylish visuals and spectacular performances by the seven members.

BTS is currently on "ARIRANG," the largest world tour in K-pop history. The group will kick off the South American leg in Bogota, Colombia, on Oct. 2-3 (local time).
