SEOUL, Aug. 2 (Yonhap) -- Shinsegae Duty Free said Saturday it has partnered with Korean beauty platform Hwahae to launch K-beauty shopping content targeting Chinese customers.

 

The retailer unveiled "Shinbalgyeon TV – Summer Vacation Edition," part of its digital content series designed to provide Chinese travelers with shopping and travel information. Shinsegae Duty Free plans to release five co-produced episodes in collaboration with Hwahae.

 

The videos spotlight K-beauty products suited for the summer vacation season, including skincare, makeup and fragrances, centered on the "Hwahae x Shinsegae Duty Free" sales zone at the retailer's Myeongdong branch.

 

The content also introduces the features, usage tips and shopping benefits of products from brands including Medicube, VIDIVICI, Goongbe Secret and Abib.

 

The videos will be distributed through major Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Bilibili and WeChat, as well as Instagram and other global channels.

 

Hwahae operates a beauty platform that provides product information and recommends and sells cosmetics tailored to users' skin characteristics and preferences through its dedicated mobile application.

 

"We created this content to help Chinese tourists easily choose the K-beauty products they need during their trips," a Shinsegae Duty Free official said. "We will continue expanding digital content that showcases the appeal of K-beauty brands and duty-free shopping."
