SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- Girl group Illit's debut song "Magnetic" has surpassed 900 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, the group's agency, Belift Lab, said Tuesday.
Released in March 2024, the song had been played 900,351,494 times as of Saturday, according to the agency.
Belift Lab said the milestone marks the shortest time taken for a debut song by a K-pop group to reach 900 million streams on Spotify.
"Magnetic" is a dance track that blends pluggnb and house, likening feelings for someone the singer likes to a magnet.
The song enjoyed major success, entering the Billboard Hot 100 and the Official Singles Chart Top 100 in Britain, while topping music charts in South Korea.
