SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- Onew of SHINee will release the new single, "Misconception," at 6 p.m. Tuesday, his agency said.

The release comes seven months after his fifth EP, "Tough Love," which came out in March.

Through the single's three lead tracks, "Misconception," "Mind Games" and "Tic Tac Toe," Onew explores differences in emotions through different genres and moods, according to his management, Griffin Entertainment.

The main title track, "Misconception," combines a smooth musical flow with the intense rhythms characteristic of the UK garage genre. It tells the story of a person who attaches meaning to the small actions of someone else, crossing the boundary between reality and imagination before eventually becoming certain of their feelings toward that person.

Onew will hold solo concerts from Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 1 at Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park.
