SEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- Jin-young, a member from K-pop boy band GOT7 and actor, will join the cast for upcoming drama "Yumi's Cells," online streaming service Tving announced on Thursday.

Based on the popular webtoon "Yumi's Cells," the story follows the daily life of Yumi (played by actress Kim Go-eun), an ordinary 30-year-old office worker, seen through the perspective of the cells in her head.

Jin-young will be playing Bobby, Yumi's friendly co-worker, and acting with Kim Go-eun.

In addition to Kim Go-eun and Jin-young, Ahn Bo-hyun, Lee Yu-bi and Park Ji-hyun are scheduled to appear. "Yumi's Cells" will be released on both Tving and tvN during the second half of this year.

Jin-young is currently starring as Kim Ga-on, an associate judge in tvN's weekend drama "The Devil Judge."
