A South Korean honor guard holding the portrait of late French Korean War veteran Serge Archambeau and a box containing his ashes stands after their arrival at Incheon airport, west of Seoul, on Oct. 27, 2026, before he is laid to rest at the U.N. Memorial Cemetery in the southeastern port city of Busan on Oct. 31. Archambeau had expressed his wish to be buried on South Korean soil before his death.
