SEOUL, Oct. 23 (Yonhap) -- Netflix’s animated film “Kpop Demon Hunters,” also known as “Kedeheon,” will be screened in theaters in a special sing-along version, multiplex chain CGV said Thursday.
From Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, audiences will be able to enjoy “Kpop Demon Hunters” on the big screen while singing along to hit original soundtrack songs such as “Golden” and “Your Idol.”
A “fandom battle screening” will also take place, allowing fans of the rival idol groups featured in the film — “Huntrix” and “Lion Boys” — to cheer for their favorite team.
“Kpop Demon Hunters” tells the story of K-pop idol group Huntrix as they fight evil spirits to save the world. It has become the most-watched Netflix title to date among all films and shows released on the platform.
Its theme song and soundtrack album both topped the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts.
The film’s sing-along version, which premiered at the 30th Busan International Film Festival earlier this month, sold out all seats. The upcoming screenings will be held at more than 100 CGV theaters nationwide, including CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul.
