SEOUL, Dec. 17 (Yonhap) -- The TV Chosun Monday-Tuesday drama “No Next Life,” which portrayed the friendship and love of three women in their 40s, ended its run with viewership ratings in the 3 percent range.

According to Nielsen Korea on Wednesday, the final episode of the drama aired the previous day recorded a nationwide rating of 3.5 percent.

The finale depicted three longtime friends—Jo Na-jung (Kim Hee-sun), Gu Ju-young (Han Hye-jin) and Lee Il-ri (Jin Seo-yeon)—rediscovering happiness in life through friendship, love and family.

Working mother Jo launches a YouTube channel after being dismissed early from an internship and becomes a successful CEO with her own brand a year later. Gu, who faced divorce over infertility, devotes herself to raising her daughter, while single career woman Il-ri overcomes menopause-related struggles to marry and enjoy a happy newlywed life.

The drama realistically portrayed themes relatable to women in their 40s, including career breaks, infertility and life as a single professional.

However, ratings fell short of expectations. Although viewership steadily rose after debuting at 1.9 percent last month, it failed to surpass the 4 percent mark.

On the same day, Genie TV–ENA drama “UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces” concluded with its final episode recording a nationwide rating of 5.0 percent.

The finale revealed the truth behind a series of explosions while depicting the neighborhood task force finally coming together as a true team.

Set in familiar local spaces such as hardware stores, supermarkets, laundromats and relay towers, the drama resonated with viewers, while comedic performances by Yoon Kye-sang, Jin Sun-kyu, Ko Kyu-pil, Lee Jung-ha and Kim Ji-hyun added to the appeal.
