SEOUL January 26 (Yonhap) -- K-pop superstar group BTS’ anthology album “Proof” has managed to successfully guard its position within Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200” for 32 consecutive weeks.
According to the chart released on January 25 (US time) the album “Proof” which was ranked 120th on the chart in previous week, was ranked 114th which is 6 steps higher than its previous record.
Moreover, Jimin of BTS’ collaborative track with BIGBANG’s Taeyang “Vibe” successfully penetrated the “Hot 100” chart as 76th on the list.
On the other hand, K-pop girl group NewJeans managed to successfully place two of their tracks within the group’s latest single album in “Hot 100.”
NewJeans’ pre-released track “Ditto” jumped 11 spots within the “Hot 100” recording its personal highest score by placing in 85th within the chart.
Moreover, the title track “OMG” successfully charted within “Hot 100” as 91st on the list.
Track “Ditto” was placed 8th and 10th in “Global Chart excluding the American tracks,” and “Global 200” whereas “OMG” was placed 14th and 13th on the same charts.
NewJeans’ debut track “Hype Boy” was placed 37th and 60th within the charts, and “Attention” was also placed 100th and 141th within the charts.
NewJeans’ debut album “New Jeans” was charted at 8th within the “Heat Seeker’s Album Chart” which is strictly for rookie artists. Within the “Emerging Artists Chart” NewJeans placed second amongst other artists.
