SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Yonhap) -- Boy band SHINee’s 1st Japanese mini album “SUPERSTAR” has also landed top on Oricon Weekly Albums Charts, after ranking 1st on Daily Albums, according to Oricon News report Tuesday.
This is the group’s 4th time landing top on Oricon since it notched No.1 on Daily Albums with 3rd regular “I Am Your Boy” (2014), 4th regular “'D×D×D” (2016), and “SHINee The Best From Now on" (2018).
“SUPERSTAR," released on July 28, is the band's first mini album in Japan.
The album consists of lead track “SUPERSTAR” and Japanese side-tracks “Closer,” “Seasons.” It also includes the Japanese version of “Don’t Call Me," the title song of its 7th regular album in Korea.
The album topped Oricon Daily Album Charts just after its release and the band's pre-release track "SUPERSTAR"also ranked 1st on the iTunes Albums Chart in 19 regions around the world.
