SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Yonhap) -- Pop artist Nancy Lang finally won the case for her divorce suit against husband Wang Jin-jin (official name Jeon Joon-joo) and confirmed her divorce.

The Supreme Court announced Friday that it has finalized an earlier ruling in Nancy Lang's divorce suit against Wang, saying, "The two should divorce."

Nancy Lang had previously filed a divorce suit in April 2019 after registering for marriage with culture and arts entrepreneur Wang Jin-jin in Dec. 2017. Wang appealed against the divorce ruling in the first trial, but was rejected.

Meanwhile, after Nancy Lang sued Wang for assault and other changes, Wang had disappeared during the investigation process. Wang was later arrested in Seocho-gu, Seoul in May 2019. He was charged with embezzlement and other charges and was sentenced to one and a half years in prison in the first trial, and a trail on an appeal case is underway.
