SEOUL, Sep. 3 (Yonhap) -- ‘Mr. Taekwon Trot’ Na Tae-joo will meet the foreigners as a taekwondo master to celebrate the Day of Taekwondo on Sep. 4.
Na who made it to the TOP 14 semi-finals for “Mr. Trot” with his mixed performance of trot and taekwondo in 2020 is working as a trot singer after releasing his first mini album “Life Train” in September that year.
But Na was first known as a taekwondo champion before his singer career.
He has been a member of a taekwondo performance team K-TIGERS since 16 years old and has graduated from Taekwondo dept. , Kyung Hee University. His is an official taekwondo sa dan, fourth-degree black belt also known as the first ‘master’ rank.
Na has been nominated as male MVP for winning the 11th World Taekwondo poomsae championship 2018 in Taiwan.
Na, with the Seoul City, will reveal “Na Tae-joo Attack,” an instruction video of taekwondo for foreigners in South Korea.
In the video, he visits language schools and guesthouses to introduce and teach taekwondo, a sport anyone can easily approach.
Na has collaborated with Taekwondo Promotion Foundation and released a taekwondo promotion song “O! HOT TAE” on YouTube Friday.
