SEOUL, July 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean modern rock band, Broccoli, you too will return to the music scene with a new album in about two years.
Broccoli, you too will release its new EP, "I think I should do something (tentative title)," the band's agency, Studio Broccoli announced on Monday.
This is the trio's first new release since its third full-length album "Snobs" released in May 2019, and offers comfort to individuals who are on the verge of giving up.
"If we're struggling more than we need to, maybe it is because the 'moment of giving up' is too long for us to endure and is eating up on large parts of our daily lives," the band said while introducing the album. "This album is a message and confession to those who have gone through that long and arduous process."
In the title song "Anything (tentative)," written and composed by Duk-won, the singer sends a word of comfort to himself and those around him who have struggled endlessly over the years.
The following track, "Good Days (tentative)," talks about things that cannot be given up in the end, and "2020" contains the sentiments of the year 2020, which led many people around the world to feel like giving up.
Broccoli, you too, consisting of members Dukwon, Jandi, and Ryuji, has been loved for songs that show sentiments of youth through a number of songs such as "A Universal song," "Cannot Be Comforted" and "Graduation," after gaining recognition for its 2007 song "No More Encore."
For about 10 years, the band has been meeting with audiences through various stages, including holding a brand performance "Early Tropical Night." Due to the surging fourth wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic this year, the concert will proceed both online and offline until August 15.
