Singer-songwriter Sunwoojunga releases picture book “Brilliant Laundry”

SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Yonhap) -- Singer-songwriter Sunwoojunga is publishing a picture book filled with warm, comforting messages, her agency CAMWITHUS said Wednesday.

The book, titled “Brilliant Laundry: We Cleanse Your Heart”, will be released on Nov. 21. It visualizes the themes of Sunwoojunga’s July mini album “Brilliant,” with illustrator Lee Maria translating its message into artwork.

Centered on the phrase “We cleanse your heart,” the book captures a range of emotions faced by modern people — the pressure to be perfect, tangled relationships and more. Visual and literary elements woven throughout the pages convey themes of emotional healing and self-care.

According to the agency, the narrative of “Brilliant,” which began with the mini album, “expands naturally from sound to illustration to story, creating a layered experience of listening, viewing and reading.”

An exhibition celebrating the book’s release will run from Nov. 21 to Dec. 7 at Habagooden Hannam in Seoul. On the opening day, a book talk will be held with Sunwoojunga, illustrator Lee Maria and music critic Cho Hye-rim.
