SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Yonhap) -- Taeyeon of girl group Girls’ Generation, who marks her 19th debut anniversary this year, has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment.
SM said on Friday, “We are delighted to once again continue our journey together with our valued artist Taeyeon, based on the trust and strong bond we have built over a long time,” adding, “We will continue to support her in various ways so that she can shine even more as a global artist.”
Taeyeon debuted in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation and later launched her solo career in 2015. She has released a string of hit songs including “I,” “Why,” “Four Seasons,” “Spark,” “INVU,” and “To.X.”
In December last year, she also released her first compilation album, “Panorama : The Best of TAEYEON,” commemorating the 10th anniversary of her solo debut.
