SEOUL, March 2 (Yonhap) -- Singer Sean finished a 31km marathon to commemorate the March first movement and donated 13.11 million won to improve the housing environment of descendants of independence activists according to YG Entertainment, Wednesday.
Sean hosted a “2022 Virtual 3.1 Run” event with Habitat Korea this year, following last year. The event was a charity marathon in which the participants could choose the time and place to run the 3.1 km or 31km race.
Sean finished the 31km in 2 hours 48 minutes 33 seconds.
The entire participation fee was donated to Habitat Korea. Sean and Habitat Korea have collected 1.14 billion won from running events since 2020. The donation was used for housing projects for the third-generation descendants of independence patriots in Hwasun South Jeolla Province, Dongducheon Gyeonggi Province, and Cheongyang South Chungcheong Province.
