SEOUL, Apr. 12 (Yonhap) -- These days, when the spring flowers are at its peak, people are busy catching the snake eels at the port and the harbor of Haennam, North Jeolla Province.
Instead of catching the snake eels with boats or nets, they are mainly catching the eels with the traditional fishing method by using the mosquito nets.
Even if they scrape with the landing net a couple of times, there's a high chance of catching only one snake eel, while the fishermen's arms get numb after 3-4 hours.
With the spring becoming shorter, the fishermen are busy spending their time catching these eels instead of going out to look at the spring flowers.
