SEOUL, Sept. 13 (Yonhap) -- Sports drama "Mental Coach Jegal" consoling young players tired of competitions debuted with ratings of around 1% in viwership.

According to the data by Nielson Korea on Tuesday, first episode of tvN drama aired on Monday at 10:30 p.m. recorded audience ratings of 1.5%.

The first episode revolved around Jegalgil, who was banned from national Taekwondo team after committing an accident, returning to Korean national training center as a mentor coach to take care of players' mental healths.

The drama is set in a Korean national training center, a small version of competitive society, and tries to comfort youths who are burned out of competitive life.

Jung Woo brings out laughter with whimsical and slick acting and Lee Yoo-mi delicately acted out cynical Cha Ga-eul who seems to be hiding a secret.

Touching lines in light atmosphere also drew attention.
