BTS’ V’s 'Winter Ahead' Surpasses 500 Million Streams on Spotify

SEOUL, Oct. 28 (Yonhap) -- BTS member V’s duet “Winter Ahead,” featuring singer Park Hyo-shin, has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams on global music platform Spotify, BigHit Music said Tuesday.

The song, released in November last year, exceeded 500 million streams as of Friday (Oct. 25), according to the agency.

This marks V’s fourth solo track to reach the milestone on Spotify, following “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing” and others.

“Winter Ahead” is a jazz-pop track that combines saxophone, trumpet, and the warm tones of prepared piano — a piano modified by placing objects inside it to create unique sounds. The arrangement evokes a cozy, dreamlike atmosphere.

Upon its release, the song entered Billboard’s main singles chart “Hot 100” and was later listed among Billboard’s “27 Best Winter Songs of the Season.”
