SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) -- Daegu Art Museum announced on the 13th that it will be holding a solo exhibition of the two artists, Lee Kyo-jun and Park Chang-seo, from 14th June till the 3rd of October.
This exhibition is part of the Daegu Art Museum project, which started last year to raise the creative will of local artists and to promote their capabilities at both home and abroad.
Artists over 40 living in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province or artists from those regions, who are experimental and creative is selected and supported.
Lee Kyo-Jun (67), who was selected for the Elders category, has been experimenting with conceptual art, experimental installations, and photography since the late 1970s.
Since the 1990s, he has built a world of art that expands the world of geometric expression through basic formative elements such as points and lines with a restrained form and composition.
Park Chang-seo (48), who was selected for the mid-career category, has held solo and group exhibitions at various domestic and foreign art galleries including Essex Studios in the United States, U.Turn Art Space, and the Korean Cultural Center in France, continuing to develop the expandability and themes of conceptual art.
The artist has presented a series of works of late conceptual art trends that establishes a new definition of art and uses art history as a subject.
