SEOUL, Nov. 11 (Yonhap) —"2022 Global Entertainment Expo" was opened on Friday by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Entertainment Producer's Association at the second exhibition hall of KINTEX, located in Ilsan.
 
The event, held until November 12, is an entertainment industry fair that utilizes the value of K-pop to strengthen the economic strength of the entertainment industry and help domestic companies expand to the international market.
 
Platforms, businesses related to broadcasting technologies, local authorities, and more businesses in Korea have participated in addition to the entertainment businesses, and 283 booths are set up from 71 different organizations.
 
International buyers from eleven different countries, including Saudi Arabia, the Arab Emirates, Thailand, and more, will participate online and face-to-face to make business links.
 
Debates under the theme of "Entertainment Environment, Society, Transparency, and Business (ESG) Strategy" and "NFT, which connects the real world and extended virtual world," will be held.

 

K-pop performances and showcases will be held during the Expo as well. AB6IX, Unite, and EPEX performed on Friday, and GHOST9, Kingdom, and fromis_9 will be performing on November 12.


Visitors will also be able to see the showcase and cover dance stages of guitarist Jang Ha-eun and Thai idol group XI.
