SEOUL, July 31 (Yonhap) – Park Soo-hong made an official response to suspicions he had appeared in SBS TV program “My Little Old Boy”, showing the daily lives of singles, while he was in relationship with his current wife.

On Instagram, Park said “It is 4 years since our first meeting in December 2018, but when counted on d-days it is 972 days, or 2 years and 7 months. I may have raised confusion by counting with years.”

“My wife and I started serious consideration about marriage from 2020. Since then, it would have been difficult to see me on “My Little Old Boy,” and “Hoping that I haven’t put the program’s producers into too much trouble, I wish for no more misunderstanding about my appearance on the show which was all before getting into relationship with my wife.”

Earlier, Park informed the public with his marriage registration saying, “4 years have already passed since we first met in December 2018,” on the 28th.

Some viewers of the program felt rather betrayed after having loved Park for his enjoying life as a single despite his mother’s plead for marriage for about 5 years.

On the other hand, Park and MBN variety show he is taking part in, “Dongchimi” were criticized for not wearing masks in a group-photo after a party congratulating Park’s marriage.

In the photograph uploaded on one of the members’ Instagram, including Park and Choi Eun-kyung, the casts, with the placard congratulating the groom’s marriage on the back, were not wearing masks.

At the Internet users’ criticisms for their violating the quarantines, Choi explained that the photo was taken under strict compliance with the quarantines. However, people did not stop criticizing and some even posted that they have reported the people in the photo to Mapogu Office for violation of social distancing.

“Dongchimi” officials made an announcement saying, “The shooting was strictly under quarantine guidelines however there was a mistake while taking a photo just when the casts had their masks off for fixing make-ups. Consequently, we have failed to perfectly comply to the quarantine lines and have concerned many viewers. We sincerely apologize for the discomfort.”

They also added that, “All casts and production team will take COVID-19 infection test.”
