Workers make holes in the ice to create a fishing ground on the Hwacheon Stream in the mountainous town of the same name in South Korea's northeast province of Gangwon on Jan. 3, 2023, to prepare for a festival for "sancheoneo," a special kind of trout that lives in cold temperatures, that will open there on Jan. 7.
