SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- Singer Seven will release his self written and composed new song "Mona Lisa" in two years and five months, in a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) manner, digital asset trading platform NFT Mania announced on Monday.

"Mona Lisa" is a funky pop genre song that combines dynamic bass lines, guitar riffs with cool and cheerful drums. This is Seven's first new song to be released since the 2019 digital single "COLD."

The new song will be released as an NFT sound source that can only be purchased by one person, drawing attention among music lovers, Through NFT Mania, the company plans to release two versions of the song, recorded and produced in Korean and English lyrics, respectively.

NFT uses blockchain technology to give digital content its own recognition value that cannot be replicated. This makes the song valuable as a 'one and only' content asset. It is also a new way of distributing content.

Earlier, the band Lee Il-chi, which reinterprets the Korean drum sound pansori into modern pop, released its hit song "Tiger is Coming" on NFT.
