SEOUL, Sept. 12 (Yonhap) -- This coming October, Busan will become a huge festival city where festivals will be held all month.

 

2022 Busan International Rock Festival will be held at Busan Samrak Ecological Park from Oct. 1 to Oct. 2.

 

Domestic rock bands such as Jannabi, British artists "Honne," "Bastile," "Oh Wonder," Israeli singer "Hila Ruach," Taiwanese band "I Mean Us,",and Thai Alternative Indie Rock band 'Desktop Error' will participate.

 

5,000 pre-ordered tickets were sold out in just two minutes.

During the same period, Busan Street Art Festival will be held in Busan Citizens Park, featuring various dances genres under the theme "Dancing City, Shake the Streets." (Literal Translation)

On Oct. 5, 27th Busan International Film Festival, a film feast representing Asia, will open.

243 films from 71 countries are invited, and including 111 community beef films a total of 354 films will be screened for ten days until Oct. 14 at the Seoul Cinema Center.

On Oct. 15, the group BTS will hold a large-scale concert for the successful bid of 2030 Busan World Expo at the Asiad Main Stadium in Busan.

The concert is expected to be a large international event as more than 3,500 key figures from 170 member countries of the International Exposition Organization (BIE), which select the venue for Expo 2030, will be invited.

"Busan One Asia Festival," a large-scale Hallyu culture and tourism festival, will be held in the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, Busan Citizens Park, and around the North Port of Busan Port from Oct. 27- 30.

Top K-pop groups such as Brave Girls, AB6IX, Golden Child, and Le Sserafim were named in the first lineup.

The festival heat will continue until Nov. 5 when 17th Busan Fireworks Festival will take place at Busan Gwangalli Beach.
