Citizens look around an excavation site for the restoration of a "woldae" in front of Gwanghwamun, the main gate of Gyeongbok Palace, in downtown Seoul on March 16, 2023. Tramways, built during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea (1910-45), were discovered there. A woldae is a stage built with stone in front of ancient gates for royal rituals or ceremonies. (Yonhap)
