SEOUL, January 6 (Yonhap) -- K-Auction, an art auction house will hold its first auction of 2023 at its headquarters in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on January 18 according to their announcement on Friday
The auction will feature 84 pieces worth about 8 billion KRW, including Lee Ufan, Jung Chang-seop, Chun Kyung-ja, Choi Wook-kyung, Ro Eun-nim, and Lee Sook-ja.
The representative work is Lee Ufan's "No.77072 from line," completed in 1977 which was estimated at 700 million KRW to 1 billion KRW. Kim Hwan-ki's New York era painting "North West Wind 30-VIII-65," which was auctioned in November last year and canceled, will be out, looking for a new owner for an estimated price of 1.5 billion won to 4 billion won.
Works by female artists such as Chun Kyung-ja, Choi Wook-kyung, Noh Eun-nim, and Lee Sook-ja, as well as Kwon Dae-sup's moon jar, will also be on the auction.
Entry is free of charge at the K-Auction exhibition hall from January 7 to 18.
