SEOUL, Dec. 28 (Yonhap) -- Korean Committee for UNICEF has announced that MBC TV variety show "Hangout with Yoo" has donated 200 million on Wednesday.
They have donated part of their profits from additional business such as sale of items related to the program, and the donation will be utilized for the children across the world affected by climate crisis.
Official from the program said, "Thinking about how to give back the love we have received this year, we agreed to protect the children who are under climate crisis."
Lee Ki-cheol, secretary general of the Korean Committee for UNICE, said, " Majority of the children across the globe are currently going through more than one of the climate crisis such as great heat, typhoon, and air pollution," adding, "We sincerely thank the program team for the warm interest and support for children."
