Doctor Strange hits 3 million viewers on fourth day of release

SEOUL, May 8 (Yonhap) -- The Marvel Studios’ superhero movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange 2)” has surpassed three million cumulative viewers on the fourth day of its release.

According to Korea Film Council, “Doctor Strange 2” added about 651,000 viewers the previous day, and recorded a cumulative viewer of about 3,013,000 viewers since its release on the 4th.

“Doctor Strange 2,” staring Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch), is a movie in which Dr. Strange fights against enemies in a multiverse where space and time are entangled.

The first “Doctor Strange,” which was released in 2016, mobilized 5,447,000 viewers in South Korea.
