Nam Tae-hyun and Seo Min-jae are under investigation for substance usage

SEOUL August 26 (Yonhap) -- Former member of Winner Nam Tae-hyun and South Korean TV personal Seo Min-jae has been charged with possession and usage of illegal substances.

According to the Yongsan Police station on Friday, both Nam Tae-hyun and Seo Min-jae will be called in for investigation due to violation of narcotic control act.

TV personal Seo Min-jae uploaded posts on her Instagram account on August 20, stating “Nam Tae-hyun did methamphetamine.” adding “There is a syringe he used in order to inject methamphetamine to his body either in my room or inside the office cabinet.” She posted couple more post related to Nam Tae-hyun and his usage of methamphetamine but deleted shortly after.

People who came across the post notified the cops, and Yongsan police department went on an internal investigation before charging Nam Tae-hyun with detailed charges.

Group of people who are studying for the judicial examination sent in their complaint against Nam Tae-hyun and Seo Min-jae to the National Office of Investigation on August 21 under the accusation of violating the act related to substance usage.

Singer Nam Tae-hyun was a member of South Korean boy group WINNER up until 2016. After leaving the group, he joined a band called ”South Club” and continued on with his music career, whereas Seo Min-jae appeared on a reality show “Heart Signal Season 3” and rose to fame. Both Nam Tae-hyun and Seo Min-jae are known to be in a relationship together.
