SEOUL, Sep. 29 (Yonhap) -- The entertainment scene these days cannot be explained without the father and two sons of basketball.
‘President of Basketball’ (translated) Hur Jae appeared in variety shows and shared his witty words even when he was a basketball player and coach. He also appeared in MBC TV “My Little Television” with his two sons in 2016.
It was 2019 that he settled to start his entertainer career. After retiring from the national team’s coach, he first joined JTBC “We Kick Together” and was loved with his clumsiness and witty talks. Later Hur appeared in various programs regardless of channel.
Hur, who is partners with Starit-ent, is actively entertaining the watchers regardless of genres from wild variety shows such as “Law of the Jungle” and “Lucky If We Don’t Fight” (translated) to reality programs such as “My Little Old Boy,” quiz shows such as “Problem Child in House,” mukbangs like “Baek Jong-won’s Alley Restaurant” and music variety programs like “Hidden Singer 6.”
As the father secured his place as an entertainer, the two sons are more frequently visiting the variety shows. Heo Hoon and Heo Ung brothers who are both basketball players, have appeared in programs such as “Tiki-taka,” “Problem Child in House,” “Lucky If We Don’t Fight” (translated) and “I Live Alone”
The athletes show blazing desire for victories and very different characteristics and attractions though the two are brothers. As these points act as new attractions to the watchers, the three men’s activities in the entertainment scene are expected to last longer.
But it needs a premise that there will be no longer sudden unfortunate scandals like when Hur Jae who has a record of drunk driving advertised a hangover helper.
