SEOUL, May 24 (Yonhap) -- Naju, South Jeolla Province, will be opening the Hansuje Mullegil in Gyeonghyeon-dong from the 25th.

Hansuje boasts the beautiful scenery of the lake in all four seasons like Mt. Guemseong, a mountain in Naju famous for its cherry blossoms.

Naju city spent 10 billion won in 2018 to build the access road in Mt. Guemseong Forest and the Hansuje waterfront park which has been recently completed.

The Mullegil built along the reservoir is 2m wide and 800m long, and if one adds the section connected to the Hansuje forest road that already existed, it reaches 1,800m.

In particular, the 800m section gives one the feeling of walking on a clear and calm lake while also enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms on the spring.

Naju City has also planted plum trees and crepe-myrtle trees around the Mullegil, and has also installed convenience facilities including the bed chairs, outdoor tables and shade screens on the decks with the lake view.

It is expected that the installation of the light emitting diode (LED) bar and column lamps will enhance the safety of citizens and add elegance to the night scenery.

On the 24th, Deputy Mayor Jeong Chan-gyun of Naju City said, "Starting with the Hansuje Mullegil, we will create a course that leads to the artificial waterfall in Gyeonghyeon-dong, the ecological water park, and Mt. Geumseong as a luxury tourism and leisure space."
