SEOUL,

According to the Korean Film Council’s box office data, the film drew over 52,000 viewers Wednesday, capturing a 40.1 percent revenue share to rank first.
Opening Nov. 19, “Wicked: For Good” also drew more than 108,000 moviegoers on its first day, holding the top spot for two days straight.
Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film is a follow-up to last year’s movie “Wicked,” which covered Act 1 of the musical of the same name, and follows the diverging fates of Elphaba and Glinda.
Second place Wednesday went to “Now You See Me 3,” depicting the story of a magician heist team, with over 37,000 viewers and a 25.8 percent revenue share.
Japanese animated feature “Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc” placed third, drawing around 10,000 viewers, with total admissions reaching about 3.213 million.
Korean-Japanese director Lee Sang-il’s film “National Treasure,” set in the world of Japanese kabuki, ranked fourth (about 6,000 viewers), while Lee Kwang-soo’s comedy “Prince Alone” placed fifth (around 5,000).
As of 9 a.m. Thursday, “Wicked: For Good” also topped advance ticket sales with about 161,000 presold tickets (39.0 percent).
In second was “Zootopia 2,” opening Nov. 26, with roughly 92,000 presales.
“Now You See Me 3” ranked third overall in presales at about 43,000, and second among currently showing titles.
