SEOUL,
Nov. 21 (Yonhap) --
According to the official list for the 67th “Japan Record Awards,” I’LL-IT earned an Excellence Award for their Japanese-language track “Almond Chocolate,” released in February.
The category recognizes 10 outstanding songs of the year based on artistry, originality and production value. The 10 selections automatically become candidates for the grand prize to be announced Dec. 30.
I’LL-IT, who won the Rookie Award last year, achieved honors for a second consecutive year.
At this year’s ceremony, BOYNEXTDOOR received the Rookie Award, while HYBE’s Japan-based group &TEAM took the Special International Music Award for exceptional global achievements.
Launched in 1959, the Japan Record Awards are organized by the Japan Composer’s Association and broadcast live on TBS.
