SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- K-pop groups BTS and Tomorrow X Together (TXT), both from the same agency, are showing good performances on the US Billboard charts.

According to the latest Billboard chart results updated Wednesday (U.S. time), BTS was named on several charts including the Billboard Global 200, Billboard Global Excl. US, and the Top Album Sales chart.

BTS recorded No. 83 on the Billboard Global 200 chart with “Butter,” No. 96 with “My Universe,” and No. 99 with “Dynamite.”

The supergroup also listed 4 songs on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart, including “Butter” (No. 62), “My Universe” (No. 68), “Dynamite” (No. 72), and “Permission to Dance” (No. 148).

Billboard’s Global chart ranks songs based on streaming and sales in over 200 countries.

BTS’s previous albums also continue to show off its steady popularity.

“LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her” released in September 2017 ranked No. 41 on the Top Album Sales chart, and “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear,” released the next year, ranked No. 82 on the chart.

PSY’s “THAT THAT,” produced and featured by BTS member Suga, also ranked No. 74 on the Billboard Global 200, No. 50 on the Billboard Global Excl. US, and No. 4 on the World Digital Song Sales chart.

Aside from Billboard, BTs member Jin’s song “Yours” and V’s “Christmas Tree” ranked first and the second side by side on the music discovery platform Shazam, on May 31st.

BTS is the first Korean solo artist to rank first and second on the Shazam chart.

BTS’s junior group Tomorrow X Together (TXT)’s fourth mini-album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" released last month ranked at the top of the main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ for two consecutive weeks.

The album entered the Billboard 200 chart as 4th just after its release and recorded No. 9 this week.

The agency Big Hit Music explained, “TXT is the first K-pop male artist after BTS to remain on the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart for more than two weeks.”

The album also topped the World Album Chart for two weeks and ranked No. 2 on the Top Album Sales and the Top Current Album Sales chart, and recorded No. 6 on the Tastemaker albums chart.

Other than the two groups mentioned above, K-pop artists are continuing to show off good performances on the Billboard Global chart.

IVE’s “Love Dive” ranked No. 87 on the Billboard Global 200 chart after the previous week, and the rookie group LE SSERAFIM’s debut album “Fearless” recorded No. 93, entering the global chart for four weeks.

The children's song “Baby Shark” recorded No. 116 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
