J-HOPE to donate for Hometown Love Donation Compaign towards Buk-gu within Gwangju City

SEOUL January 2 (Yonhap) -- South Korean Superstar BTS’ J-HOPE addressed his intention on participating in Hometown Love Donation Campaign (translated) in Gwangju Buk-gu.

The Gohyang Love Donation Campaign is a system in which if one donates 5 million won annually to his current address or other autonomous community, donor will be provided with tax exemption as well as a small prize.

Super Star J-Hope who was born in Gwangju, Buk-gu spent his youth and went through his education up until high school in Buk-gu.

Buk-gu government received J-Hope’s intention on participating in Hometown Love Donation Campaign through his parents.

J-Hope who is currently in the United States will be donating the money to Gohyang Love Donation Campaign as soon as he returns to South Korea.

Gift in return can be chosen by the donor.

Buk-gu has chosen over 30 of the various gift objects including, produce baskets, plumb Korean traditional snack (Hangua) and more as a gift in return for the Gohyang Love Donation Campaign.

“We will do our best to come up with solutions toward decreasing amount of population, and various local problems, by using the amount we collect through Gohyang Love Donation Campaign wisely,” Major Mun In of Buk-gu district addressed on Monday.

Moreover, Mun In addressed “J-HOPE’s decision to donate will provide positive impact on solidifying the policy’s ground.”
