SEOUL February 4 (Yonhap) -- South Korean rap artist Yoon Byung-ho also known as Bully Da Ba$tard from famous S.Korean hip hop music program “High School Rapper 2” has been sentenced to 4 years in prison with 40 hours of drug addiction prevention education program with additional fine of 1.63 million won.
Suwon District Court located in Yeoju disclosed that S.Korean rapper Yoon Byung-ho who was trial for assult and drug use under the narcotics management act has received 4 years of prison sentence with additional charges.
“The defendant had admitted to most of the criminal act he was accused of, and the fact that the defendant has reached agreement with the assault victim was taken into consideration when given the sentence.” addressed the judge.
Rapper Yoon Byung-ho was arrested and indicted for smoking Marijuana and using Methanphetamine at his house located in Incehon city.
Throughout the process of investigation Yoon Byung-ho admitted to his usage of marijuana and Methanphetamine after purchasing it off from a dealer he got to known through social media.
Yoon Byung-ho has a history of being arrested and punished for usage of drugs in July of 2022, and he was undergoing a trial for drug related charges at the time of indictment.
On top of marijuana and Methanphetamine, the artist told the police of his usage of Fentanyl which is a newly up and coming drug famous in United States, Mexico and more.
“Due to the wide spread of drug distribution in South Korea, innocent people are getting pulled into the drug related court cases, hence the charges related to drugs are getting more harsher,” adding “We will enforce strict drug related charges to those who use substances.” addressed official from the prosecution.
