SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) – Incheon City Office of Education has announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Jonathan, a broadcaster from the Democratic Republic of Congo, as its ambassador.

 

Jonathan is to promote various educational policies and activities through public interest campaigns and image advertisements at the City Office of Education.

 

"Incheon is a place with a lot of memories and an area that I think is special," he said. "As the face of the city office of education, I will be careful not to become a trouble and do public interest activities."

 

Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jonathan first came to Korea when he was eight years old and attended Yongjeong Elementary School in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, until sixth grade.

 

Jonathan has appeared on famous programs such as “Radio Star” and “You Quiz on the Block” and became a broadcaster, and currently runs a YouTube channel with 760,000 subscribers.
