SEOUL January 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korean singer Lee Seung-gi donated 550 million won in celebration of his birthday on Friday, addressed Korean Red Cross.
Donated amount will be used to create a bus for blood donation and a food truck to distribute food and to help out with those who are in need.
Throughout the process of donation, CEO of the Korean Red Cross Shin Hee-young awarded Lee Seung-gi with an award certificate designed for individual and organizations who donate over 5 million won to Korean Red Cross.
Singer Lee Seung-gi addressed “Due to the recent re spread of COVID19 I have seen the lack of blood supplies at the medical emergency,” adding “I hope the blood donation bus could help out with the shortage problem and save number of lives.”
Lee Seung-gi have continued on with his good deed for instance artist donated 2 billion won to Children’s Sector of Seoul National University Hospital on December of 2022 in order to improve the environment and quality of the service.
