SEOUL March 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean violinist Park Ka-kyung will be hosting a solo concert at the Seoul Art Center’s Recital Hall on March 17.
The upcoming solo concert, titled “Awakening” will kick off with Russian composer Gliere’s “8 Pieces, Op.39” followed by Ravel’s “Sonata for Violin and Cello,” Astor Piazzolla’s “Libertango” and more. Cellist Kim Young-eun will take the stage alongside to Park Ka-kyung. Violinist Park Ka-kyung plans to donate all the profit made from the concert to help out the recovery process of Turkey and Syria.
Violinist Park Ka-kyung graduated Seoul Arts High School later on continued her education in Manhattan School of Music, and received doctorate degree in Meriland University. Currently Park Ka-kyung is working as a professor of Suwon University.
