SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- Actor Choi Jin-hyuk (real name Kim Tae-ho), who took part in the series “The Heirs” (2013), was caught red-handed gathered up for drinks in an unauthorized entertainment bar violating the social distancing regulations.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station has caught Choi at around 8:20 p.m. on the 6th at an entertainment bar in Samseong-dong Gangnam-gu running illegally.
The bar Choi stayed has been banned from running as gatherings are limited according to social distancing measures level 4 in Seoul.
The police received a 112 report saying, “There is a place running secretly,” and forced entry into the bar with the Fire & Disaster authorities. They found 51 people including 1 owner and 50 customers·receptionists. The police will deliver the list to the district’s office.
“The actor was looking for a place to have a quiet conversation as he was concerned of drinking in a public space even before 10 p.m., considering the pandemic. So, he went to a recommended place. He was not aware that the recommended bar was running illegally,” explained the actor’s agency G-Tree Creative.
“We are aware that it was a shame and is inexcusable not having checked the quarantine guidelines thoroughly and having acted ignorantly. Choi will stop all activities and repent over his wrongdoing,” added the agency.
