SEOUL October 22 (Yonhap) -- National Mountain Museum which is a subsidiary under the Korea Mountaineering Support Center, addressed on Saturday that they have received articles left by the departed climber Kim Hong-bin known for his records for conquering 14 of the Himalayan mountain tops which exceeds eight thousand meters with his disabilities.

Captain Kim Hong-bin fell into the crevasse located near 7900 meter mark on the way down from the Broad Peak Summit which consist of 8051 meters high on July 18 in 2021, and never made it back home.

Mountain climber Kim Hong-bin lost all ten of his fingers during his journey to Mout Denali which is the highest mountain peak located within the North America region in 1991 and continued on climbing despite of his disability under the tile of “Making Hope Foundation” to provide hope to disabled people.

Wife of captain Kim Hong-bin, the current chairwoman of the “Making Hope Foundation” donated 11 of the items used during the climbing of the Broad Peak Summit to the Korea Mountain Museum while stating “I hope a lot of people will show interest in the commemorative exhibition being held at the National Mountain Museum.”
