SEOUL, July 31 (Yonhap) -- The "Film Concert," which will present the opera based on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and the movie "Harry Potter" on stage, will be held at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The Sejong Center for the Performing Arts revealed the fall/winter season program from September 22 to December 16 on Tuesday.

This season, a total of 14 works will be staged, including 11 performances by the Sanha art troupe of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and 3 planned performances by the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. Various genres of performances from traditional operas to plays, musicals, Korean traditional music, and ballet will be meeting the audience.

As the opening work of the season, "Romeo and Juliet" of the Seoul Metropolitan Opera will be presented at the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts from September 22 till 25.

Based on Shakespeare's play of the same name, it is an authentic opera composed by the French composer, Charles Gounod.

The Seoul Metropolitan Opera will meet the audience on November with Verdi's "Rigoletto."

On October 7 till October 9, the "Harry Potter™ In Concert" produced by Cine Concert and Warner Bros. Consumer Products will be staged to commemorate the "Harry Potter" series.

It debuted in 2019 in Korea as a performance to enjoy the story of a movie on stage with live music.

This time, the third concert series "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™" will be performed on stage.

The Korea Coop Orchestra and Noi Opera Chorus will perform under the direction of conductor Shih Hung Young.

Works adapted from novels by Korean writers into plays and musicals will also be performed.

The Seoul Metropolitan Company will perform the "Pleasures and Sorrows of Work" by Jang Ryu-jin at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts M Theater from October 14 till October 30, and the Seoul Musical Company's "Aloha, My Mothers," a musical adaptation of Lee Keum-hee's novel from November 22 till December 1.


"Mixed Orchestra - Collision and Harmony," held by the Seoul Metropolitan Traditional Music Orchestra on September 28 at the Grand Theater of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, is a performance that seeks to converge genres by adding a Western orchestra to the existing traditional orchestra.

A total of 90 new orchestras will be on stage, including the Korean Traditional Orchestra, string and wind instruments, as well as electroacoustic instruments.

"Kim Joo-won's Tango Ballet-3 Minutes: Su tiempo," which will be performed from October 8 to 15, features ballerina Kim Joo-won, Bandoneonist Koh Sang-ji, and musical actress Lim Jeong-hee , presenting a stage that harmonizes with various genres.
