SEOUL, Nov. 24 (Yonhap) -- The following is a summary of inter-Korean news this week.

(3rd LD) N. Korea vows to restore all military measures halted under inter-Korean military accord
SEOUL -- North Korea said Thursday it will immediately restore all military measures it had halted under a 2018 inter-Korean military accord, a day after South Korea suspended part of the tension reduction deal following the North's launch of a military spy satellite.
The North's defense ministry said it will "never be bound" by the military agreement any more, effectively scrapping the deal that calls for a series of tension reduction measures along the heavily armed border, and warned that the South must "pay dearly" for its decision.

(LEAD) Defense chief says partial suspension of 2018 military agreement 'minimal defensive measure'
SEOUL -- Defense chief Shin Won-sik said Thursday that South Korea's partial suspension of a 2018 inter-Korean tension reduction deal is "a proportional response" and "a minimal defensive measure" against Pyongyang following its spy satellite launch.
Shin's comments came hours after North Korea's defense ministry vowed to immediately restore all military measures halted under the Comprehensive Military Agreement and warned that the South must "pay dearly" for its decision.

(LEAD) N. Korean spy satellite seems to have entered into orbit: Seoul military
SEOUL -- North Korea's military spy satellite appears to have entered into orbit, but more time would be needed to determine if it is operating properly, Seoul's military said Wednesday.
The North launched the Malligyong-1 satellite from the country's west coast late Tuesday in its third attempt this year, claiming it has successfully entered into orbit.

(3rd LD) S. Korea partially suspends 2018 inter-Korean military accord
SEOUL -- South Korea suspended part of a 2018 inter-Korean military tension reduction agreement Wednesday in response to North Korea's latest launch of a military spy satellite.
Under the proposal approved in an extraordinary Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Seoul will restore reconnaissance and surveillance activities around the inter-Korean border. President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is on a state visit to Britain, electronically approved the motion later in the day.

(2nd LD) S. Korea warns N. Korea to 'immediately stop' preparations for military spy satellite launch
SEOUL -- The South Korean military warned North Korea on Monday to "immediately stop" preparations for another military spy satellite launch, vowing to take "necessary measures" if it presses ahead with the launch.
Lt. Gen. Kang Ho-pil, chief director of operations at the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), made the warning, a day after South Korea's defense chief said Pyongyang may make another satellite launch attempt as early as "this week or so."
