Samsung affiliates to launch new CSR projects
SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Group affiliates Cheil Worldwide Inc. and S-1 Corp. will launch new projects to increase corporate social responsibility (CSR), officials said Wednesday.
Cheil Worldwide, Samsung's advertisement arm, will open a sports class and psychological consultation sessions for 300 teenagers from multicultural families here every year starting in March 2024, according to the officials.
S-1, the South Korean conglomerate's security solution affiliate, will provide digital education to senior citizens to help them use smartphones and kiosks.
It will also provide job opportunities for the elderly in the private and public sectors.
Samsung currently operates various CSR activities, including a software academy for youths, an after-school education volunteer program and housing support for institution-reared teenagers.
