SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- "Are you ready to play the final game together?"
Actor Lee Byung-hun raised anticipation for the grand finale of "Squid Game" Season 3, which will be released on June 27, during Netflix’s global fan event "TUDUM 2025" held in Los Angeles on Saturday (local time).
The main trailer for "Squid Game 3" was unveiled for the first time at the event.
The trailer featured fresh, never-before-seen games, including a massive Young-hee doll turning a long rope and a narrow, maze-like alley, hinting at new challenges beyond those seen in Seasons 1 and 2.
The tension between Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), who continues to believe in human goodness, and the Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun), who distrusts humanity, is expected to deepen.
One scene shows Gi-hun screaming, "Why did you let only me live?" after losing a friend, followed by the Front Man coldly asking, "Number 456, do you still trust people?" — strongly hinting at a showdown between the two.
As in the final game of Season 1, Gi-hun is seen walking solemnly in a black suit, wearing his iconic number 456 badge. Viewers are left wondering whether he once again survives to the final round in this latest installment.

Also present at the "TUDUM 2025" event were key cast members from the "Squid Game" series including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Park Sung-hoon (as Hyeon-ju), Kang Ae-shim (as Geum-ja), and Choi Seung-hyun (as Thanos).
Choi Seung-hyun, whose character Thanos was presumed dead in Season 2, said with a grin, "You were probably surprised to see me here, but there’s no way I’d miss out on such a spectacular event."
Lee Jung-jae teased the arrival of a new character, Cheolsu, who joins the iconic Young-hee doll, warning that "he won’t be kind." He also remarked, "Every game must come to an end," confirming that Season 3 will conclude the story.
TUDUM is Netflix’s global fan event, launched in 2020, where fans can meet cast and creators of major series. It’s known for delivering exclusive previews and surprise announcements of Netflix originals.
Netflix also released second-round still cuts for "Squid Game 3" at the event.
The images included a shot of Kyeong-seok (played by Lee Jin-wook), presumed dead in Season 2, clutching his stomach while facing a guard, and another of the Front Man confronting the game organizers in the past while wearing participant number 132.
