SEOUL, Sep. 28 (Yonhap) -- Korean original musical “Marie Curie” will meet the audiences in Poland, her motherland.

The musical has collaborated with Korean Cultural Center in Poland to open a premier of the musical “Marie Curie” at Kinoteka theater in Palace of Culture and Science during the 6~7th of November, according to the producer Live Tuesday.

The premier will be Korean Cultural Center in Poland’s annual fall event, month of Korean cultures’ main event.

It will take place twice, on the 6th for the Poland government and officials from the cultural scene and on the 7th for ordinary audiences.

The video is a version of the Hongik University Art Center performance in August 2020. It was also re-edited with different casts for Act 1 (Oak Joo-hyun and the others) and Act 2 (Kim So-hyang and the others) to enable the audiences to see the whole actors and actresses from the season’s performance. The video provides Polish subtitles.

Also, from 6th of November to the 30th of April 2022, Marie Curie Museum in Poland will hold an exhibition of the musical. Including the play’s music video, they will exhibit various documentary materials of the performance such as videos, miniature version of the stage, goods and souvenirs.

Korean Cultural Center set up a ‘Marie Curie Photo Zone,’ a reproduction of Marie Curie’s experimental lab and will carry out an experience event until the 31st of December as well.

“The local officials including the director of Marie Curie Museum in Poland are showing great interest in the fact that musical “Marie Curie” has been produced in Korea. We have prepared this premier to celebrate Marie Curie’s birthday, 11th of November, and wish for the production to last long in our memories as a collaborated cultural asset of Korea and Poland,” said Kang Eun-young head of Korean Cultural Center in Poland.

The center has been introducing various Korean cultures to Poland screening remarkable Korean films such as “Parasite,” “Secret Sunshine” and “Peppermint Candy” for Korean Film Festival every fall.
