KOSPI at fresh record high

A financial data screen at the Korea Exchange in Seoul on Oct. 24, 2025, shows the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index having soared 96.03 points, or 2.50 percent, to close at a fresh record high of 3,941.59. South Korean stocks closed sharply higher, hitting another record high on strong gains in tech shares, as investor sentiment was lifted by news of a planned summit between the leaders of the United States and China.
