SEOUL, Aug. 26 (Yonhap) -- "Fake Love" by K-pop supergroup BTS has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, the group's agency BigHit Music said Tueday.

With this achievement, BTS now has five songs that have each garnered over 1 billion streams on the world's largest music streaming platform.

"Fake Love," a hip-hop track featuring rock guitar sounds and trap beats, depicts the emotions of realizing that a love once thought to be fate was false. The dark-themed track reached No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 42 on Britain's Official Singles Top 100. The album "Love Yourself: Tear," which includes the song, became the first K-pop album to top the Billboard 200.

In addition, Jungkook’s solo track "3D" also surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. With this, Jungkook now has four solo tracks with over 1 billion streams, including "Seven," "Standing Next to You" and "Left and Right," the most by a K-pop solo artist.
